Episode #11 Airs Sunday August 31 on KMUD

In this next episode I get metaphysical with writer and musician John Hardin.  John is an intelligent and insightful man, and his experiences studying phenomenology and Kant’s The Critique of Pure Reason gave him interesting insights that he shares in this interview.  We explore the nature of space and time, human perception, and the limitations of objective science.  Using ideas from Kant, Einstein and Darwin, John builds a case for viewing the world as an organism, similar in its conclusion to the worldview of indigenous cultures.  Showing multiple pathways to an ecological consciousness is important, and John’s use of insights from three preeminent thinkers of Western Civilization will give you plenty to think about.  Tune in on Sunday, August 31 at 9:30 a.m. PST to www.kmud.org.  The show will be archived at kmud for several months, and will also be available as a download here.
